Vermont receives grant to build energy efficient homes

HUD is awarding the State of Vermont $250,000 to be used to build green housing. The grant is intended to develop new homes which will feature a sustainable site design, water-conserving fixtures, energy-efficient appliances/lighting, and environmentally friendly building materials.   The grant will be used through the Vermont Housing Conservation Board.
