If we cannot get inside your home, there is no way we can sell it.
Not being able to get inside a seller’s home in order to show it to a potential buyer needlessly stops home sales from happening. You would think that a home for sale would be available to be viewed with little or no hassle and yet the opposite is the case more often than it should be.
The fact is not having access to show a home during a reasonable time period should be unacceptable. Did the REALTOR not fully explain the importance of having the home ready and available to show? Are the home owners not truly committed to selling, unwilling to deal with the inconvenience created by having their home on the market and open to buyer traffic?
Not having a lock box on the door, requiring an appointment or limiting the day and time a buyer can view a home will reduce the number of buyers who view the home and lengthen the time it takes for the home to sell, if it sells at all.
